The "Art for All" project

Prof. Makis Warlamis (1942 – 2016) created many pictures for his grand “Art for All” project and donated his paintings to the collection of the non-profit art museum Waldviertel. For the sum of 280 one can purchase an original painting from this collection by the internationally renowned artist. “It is important to me to give everyone the opportunity to receive a valuable original painting and at the same time to support social projects,” said the artist, who for years dealt with the great concern of making art affordable for everyone, simultaneously linked to social causes. Each of the original paintings in the 50 x 50 cm format is painted on canvas using a wide variety of techniques, from oil and acrylic to specialized techniques. The works show a diverse world of ideas, colors and free composition, modern, contemporary and emotional, here and there, with reminiscences of the great artists of the modern era.”

These are paintings for young people, for people with a heart who see art as a sign of solidarity, kindness and love. In addition, this project is a sign of the infinity of art. They are authentic pictures, like traces of life and the fruits of my decades of work.” Makis Warlamis
